.UK Registry (Future state)
Please bookmark this page – it is the landing page for all future updates on the transition of the .UK registry to the new RSP platform.
.UK Legacy platform
The .UK Registry currently operates on our legacy platform; we have announced that we will move .UK to our Registry Services Provider (RSP) platform in 2026. To find out current information about the legacy platform please use the UK namespace section of registrar resources. This area of registrar resources will document the upcoming features and policies for .uk on our more modern RSP platform; planned transition will be in 2026.2026-02-16 Registry Standardisation status update
Policy and business implementation
Thank you for your responses to the .UK policy consultation. We are reviewing the feedback now and expect to share an update in calendar Q1 2026 ahead of the release of the remaining testbed functionality.
The aim is that by the time of that technical release we will have confirmed the future policy framework that is required for you to plan your business and technical changes giving you a minimum of six months to roll out the implementation.
Key information covering how we will treat the domains at the point of transition to the new lifecycle is available here.
All registrars will have access to the new Dragon Domain Manager to manage their domain portfolio from the point of transition onwards which will enable full domain name management via online services; further details of the functionality and how to use it will be made available prior to transition.
Technical integration update
For those that have technical integration needs; the first version of the .UK (Future state) EPP Testbed was released and available for testing since 13th August 2025, this provides the base level for you to start integration work; a second release is currently on schedule for April 2026.
EPP Testbed release for .UK (Future state) is accessible now at testbed-uk.epp.nominet.uk:700.

Registrar Resources Tidy up

- Technical documentation covering integrating with our Dragon Registry Services Provider (RSP) systems will appear in the https://registrars.nominet.uk/dragon/
- Registry or top-level domain specific information will appear in https://registrars.nominet.uk/registry/
