Important: Notice of changes to the .UK Registry-Registrar Agreement

Formal Legal Notice of changes to .UK Registry-Registrar Agreement.

Registrars have been placed on formal notice that changes will be made to the .UK Registry-Registrar Agreement (.UK RRA) which will come into effect on the transition date to the new registry platform. This will be on Tuesday, 9th February 2027. If the transition is delayed, a revised effective date for the .UK RRA coming into force will be communicated.

The future .UK RRA can be found here – .UK Registry-Registrar Agreement.

The current agreements and policies continue to be in effect until the transition date.

These amendments are necessary to complete the .UK standardisation programme of migrating .UK to Nominet’s Registry Services Provider platform (RSP). The details of the changes to the .UK RRA are outlined in the 2025 Consultation Feedback Summary available here.

If you have any questions, wish to discuss these updates, please contact us on [email protected]. If you no longer wish to be a .UK registrar, you must notify us on [email protected] by Sunday, 10th January 2027 and transfer your domains to another registrar by the termination date. Otherwise, continued use of Nominet’s service after the effective date will be deemed acceptance of the revised terms.

Updated Terms & Conditions of Domain Name Registration

The Terms & Conditions of Domain Name Registration have been updated. As agents of the registrant, we require you to give notice of the new terms to your registrants and to, where applicable, update relevant contract terms with your registrants in accordance with the above updates before the transition date. The future .UK Registrant Terms & Conditions can be seen here.
