Domain Abuse Management System
Nominet are utilising CleanDNS to process abuse which will improve the process for reporting abuse, gathering and storing evidence, and notifying our customers of domain abuse, ensuring that reports are handled quickly and transparently. Nominet is committed to working in close partnership with registrars to address abuse effectively and will notify registrars by default so that they can take action.
How is the platform used by Nominet?
Abuse reports will be managed through cases within the platform. Emails notifying of verified abuse will be sent to registrars containing an evidence link providing a more streamlined and transparent process.
Nominet analysts will continue to conduct investigations into reports of potential abuse and make decisions on which cases should be sent to registrars and registrants for action.
Does this only apply to .UK?
The platform will be used to process abuse for all TLDs that Nominet is the Registry Operator for or those on Nominet’s RSP platform. This means gTLD registrars should expect to receive notifications of abuse via the platform. A full list of TLDs in scope can be found here.
