10 July 2012 release

At 07:00 (BST) on Tuesday 10 July 2012 we will have a systems outage lasting about one hour when we will be deploying a software upgrade. During this time all registration systems, Online Services and Business Intelligence (BI) will be unavailable. The Automaton will not process email requests, but they will be received and queued for processing when it restarts.

All other Nominet systems will continue to work as normal during this period.

We are upgrading the technologies that are used by the WHOIS and WHOIS2 services.  There will be no changes to the functionality of these services.  

We will be releasing some enhancements to our multi-year registration period functionality which will make it easier to use and consolidate single year registrations and renewals that are made prior to invoicing.

Nominet EPP schemas

As part of our drive to standardise our registry operations with international practices we would like to give notice to registrars using the Nominet EPP schemas that we will be removing the early Nominet EPP schemas (v1 schemas) in November 2012.  This will see the following Nominet EPP schemas being removed: versions 1.0, 1.1, 1.2 and 1.3

Registrar Resources

On Wednesday the 4th July our dedicated Registrar Resources micro site will go live. This is scheduled to take over as the main source of information for registrars on Tuesday 10 July 2012.
