System Announcements
9 October 2018 – .cymru & .wales EPP host name changes
On 9 October 2018 the .cymru and .wales gTLDs will be moving to new EPP host names. This notice is to give advance warning of the upcoming EPP host name changes.
The EPP host names will be changing from:
epp.nic.cymru to cymru.epp.nominet.uk
and from
epp.nic.wales to wales.epp.nominet.uk
The new host names reach updated IP addresses and Registrars are therefore advised to ensure that they use the new host name to connect to the registry and not the IP addresses themselves.
What action do I need to take?
Registrars should ensure their systems are set up ready to work with the new host names.
The new host names are now in production so that registrars may prepare their systems.
Registrars will need to have moved to using solely the new host names by 9 October 2018.
Registrar documentation for Nominet Registry Services gTLDs is available in Registrar Resources at https://registrars.nominet.uk/gtlds
