Registrar Agreement Update

Data Quality Policy reminder

We would like to remind registrars that data completeness checks will begin on any registrations or data changes submitted following the introduction of the Data Quality Policy on Wednesday 7 May, which may result in rejection of the data.

We will continue to work with all registrars between now and 22 September to ensure they have the necessary processes in place to manage registration data that cannot be validated.

From 7 May, for Channel Partners, Nominet will contact registrants to validate any details that could not be validated through our third party solution. Accredited Channel Partners will be responsible for the validation of any details that we cannot validate.

Registrar Agreement Update

A month since the introduction of the new Registrar Agreement, Nominet is pleased to update on progress.

To date, we have approved 40 Accredited Channel Partner tags with small and larger registrars covering almost 4 million domains under management, and 75 Self-managed tags covering more than 67k domains under management.

Registrars who have not already applied for a tag reclassification are encouraged to consider if applying for an Accredited Channel Partner or Self-managed tag would suit their business model.

Channel Partner tag holders are also reminded they need to submit information to us by 22 September but ideally as soon as possible.
