- The Privacy Services Framework will be discontinued on 22nd of May 2018.
- All registrant name and address information will not be shown on the WHOIS from 22nd of May 2018 unless the registrant explicitly consents to the publication of their data.
- We will further consult on Proxy services in June 2018.
The Privacy service will cease to exist on 22nd of May 2018 when registrant data will no longer be disclosed on the WHOIS by default. Any registrant wishing to opt in to having their data shown can do so either through Nominet or their Registrar.
In response to the feedback, Nominet has decoupled the implementation of Proxy services from the bulk of the GDPR-related changes and will consult further on this topic in June 2018.
