At 14:45 GMT (UTC) we will have a brief system outage lasting for 15 minutes whilst we transition the .blog registry to General Availability status.
24 July 2017 - WHOIS changes
From 24 July 2017 we will be retiring the ability to do a nameserver query without specifying "nameserver".
The following format of query will no longer work and will be treated as a syntax error:
whois -h whois.nic.wales "[nameserver name]"
The correct format of query which is currently available and in production should be used instead:
whois -h whois.nic.wales "nameserver [nameserver name]"
This is mandated by ICANN Registry Agreement Changes in Specification 4 Section 1.7.1.
Registrars should ensure that any system using nameserver queries is using the correct syntax of query.
